Next Up: MRI & Mammogram
Today I found out that I received authorization for my breast MRI and my mammogram. I also learned that it's possible I'll have to pay approximately $1,000 because of how my deductible works through my insurance. I'm hoping that won't be the case, but I'm mentally preparing for this to be an expensive visit.
I was all set to make my appointment for September 16th, but it turns out that I have to call the scheduler on the first day of my cycle so they can then make the appointment for the ideal 7 - 10 day window. I'm learning a lot here.
What this means is it's likely I'll have to push back my 2nd appointment with Dr. Waisman, currently scheduled for September 19th, depending on when my MRI and mammogram actually happen.
There are lots of times when I can go through this whole experience and kind of pretend it's not really happening and not really changing my life that much.
Today is not one of those times.
